Over the past 12 months, the world has faced its biggest challenge in the Covid-19 pandemic. Healthcare systems around the globe faced extreme pressure and for those in developing regions the strain often became too much to bear.
In April 2020, the World Health Organization released a report showing that the world was in need of 6 million more nurses - with 5.3 million of the shortage being experienced in middle or low-income countries.
It is clear that investing in nurse education is crucial but the cost of training is increasingly expensive for both governments and students alike.
Through this initiative, we hope not only to realize the dreams of 200 individuals, but to inspire a new generation of nurses and to give thanks to the existing healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to protect and care for us during some of life's hardest moments.
